Casa Ordonez Hotel Boutique
Cuenca, Ecuador
We had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful home with a staff that was beyond helpful. Alberto, his family, and staff welcomed us and treated us like family. The room was nicely decorated, very clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was small yet very clean and plenty of hot water for a relaxing shower after a day of sightseeing around Cuenca. If I ever visit Cuenca again, I would stay here without a doubt. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Casa Ordonez

Aug 30, 2009 | Trip type: Family One would not normally rate a hotel on the basis of “where you would most like to be if you had the experience of becoming ill while on vacation.” However, I happened to arrive at this hotel as I was becoming quite sick with pneumonia this summer. I cannot say enough positive things about the loving people who work at this hotel and the care I was given while staying there. From being served chicken soup in my room to having a family doctor visit me daily, I have never been treated with such kindness and warm hospitality. The family that runs this hotel is amazingly kind and special.
Additionally, I would add that Casa Ordonez is a BEAUTIFUL restored 110 year old family home with lovely antiques and furnishings. The place is in perfect condition and everything is simply immaculate. It’s in a fantastic central location in Cuenca. Internet and tv are available. Wonderful breakfasts are part of the price of a room.
Staying at this hotel was absolutely delightful. I am utterly grateful to have found this very special family run hotel through Trip Advisor.

“Very enjoyable place to stay, warm family atmosphere”

The layout of this hotel reminds us of a large hacienda-style home. The central courtyard where breakfast is served is covered with a large skylight to give you the feel of sitting in the open with natural light, yet shield you from the elements. The rooms, as well as the entire property is decorated with an antique, old-fashioned look throughout. Everything is kept very neat and clean. The service was excellent. A very healthy and delicious (and filling) complimentary breakfast is included. The owners go out of there way to please you and make you feel welcome. We enjoyed the warm family atmosphere. Our 11 yr old son really enjoyed the large selection of movies available to watch on the big-screen TV located in the comfortable lounge / family room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and highly recommend this hotel. Rooms

“A Colonial Gem in Old Towne Cuenca”

Casa Ordonez
Two weeks ago we arrived in Cuenca from the U.S.. We were fortunate enough to have stayed at Boutique Hotel Casa Ordonez for ten days. Casa Ordonez is a meticulously restored 19th century home.
Alberto, his Mother, and his sister Inez will make you feel not only as a guest, but as a member of their family. The rooms have firm mattresses, hot water with good pressure in the bathrooms, and are
immaculately clean, as is the rest of the hotel. There are two sitting rooms. One is formal , filled with restored family antiques , and covered by a frescoed cathedral ceiling. The other is the “cinema”
room which is bathed in warm sunlight streaming from the open-air ceiling above. It is adorned with cozy rattan furnishings, and has an active fireplace. Alberto also has a large collection of DVD’s to
view on the large screen TV in surround-sound. Breakfast is served daily in the large Spanish-style open court below the balcony of rooms. Freshly brewed coffee, fresh squeezed juice of the day, yogurt
and fruit, and a warm croissant with butter and jam, are brought to your table with a warm “Buenos Dias” from the friendly staff. All in all, for service, comfort, security, and the experience of colonial|
Cuenca, you cannot miss staying with the Ordonez family at Hotel Casa Ordonez in Cuenca, Ecuador.

Casa Ordonez
…that is if you can leave! I couldn’t. Not really. Since our 2+ week stay with Alberto and his family my son and I have returned to Casa Ordonez regularly to visit/touch base with our new friends. Thanks Alberto for establishing a wonderful B & B in a business you were born for.

This is the only place I will ever stay in Cuenca!!!

Casa Ordonez
Casa Ordonez is, hands down, the best place to stay in Cuenca! I recently visited there for the second time, and the service and hospitality are as amazing as I remembered. The Casa is beautifully furnished with antiques and offers lovely linens and towels, and the breakfast is delicious! All modern amenities are provided, including in-room internet, cable TV, and plenty of DVD’s to keep our kids busy. We visited with our two children (ages 11 and 13), and they were just as impressed as we were. On our last morning there, we were scheduled to leave the hotel at 6:00am and tried to pay the night before, insistent that no one needed to be up with us at 5:30! Not surprisingly (to us!) we came downstairs to a full breakfast and famiy members waiting to say goodbye and see that our needs were met. We have stayed at so-called luxury hotels in Cuenca but nothing even compares to Casa Ordonez. As a former travel agent, I have stayed in many wonderful places, but Casa Ordonez is tops in my book!

Stayed at the Casa Ordonez with 3 friends for 5 days and had a fabulous time. The rooms were clean, elegantly decorated and had comfortable beds, TV, telephone and private bathroom. The bathroom was tiny but very clean and we never had trouble getting hot water. There are two communal seating areas – one with a large TV complete with… more http://bit.ly/kPE6I
We were amazed by this beautiful hotel with comfortable, clean rooms. The owners were so friendly and only to happy to answer any of our random questions. The B&B also included free computer and internet. I would highly recommend it. more http://bit.ly/1jlrCC
Casa Ordonez, situated right in “beautiful downtown Cuenca”, is a very convenient and comfortable inn managed by the Ordonez family. It was a pleasure to meet them, and the hotel is a very comfortable restored older home with about 12 rooms. The bathroom was a bit small, but there is plenty of hot water for showers. “WE WERE TREATED LIKE FAMILY”

Casa Ordonez

Casa Ordonez is located in the heart of Colonial Cuenca. The hotel has been in the Ordonez family for over 100 years. Its filled with beautiful antiques and has a very elegant feel. The breakfasts are wonderful, and the service is great! Alberto and Maria treated my wife and I like family. They couldn’t do enough for us! They speak excellent English, and helped us in so many ways! They helped us find our way to Cajas National Park, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip to Ecuador. Maria took us on a wonderful tour of the Sunday market towns around Cuenca, and Alberto recommended some great restaraunts. We travelled Ecuador for two months, staying in many wonderful hotels. I would have to say that the Casa Ordonez is the best!

Just a Wonderful B&B

Casa Ordonez

Before my trip to Ecuador a wondered how it is possible that this B&B had only 5 star recommendations…. Well I had to experience it on my own and i didn’t get disappointed. It was probably the best B&B I have ever been. Fantastic renovated colonial style house in the centre of Cuenca with authentic rooms and very helpful staff. We really felt like home. Highly recommended to everyone travelling to Cuenca
